Lithium Prevent

Lithium Prevent
Lithium Prevent is a unique, proprietary intumescent, fire resistant, polymer composite technology that is injection moulded to form fire resistant battery pack components that contain the spread of runaway lithium batteries in a wide range of applications.
The product has successfully completed testing programs including internal testing, independent testing, and evaluations at NASA as well as DNV.
Fire Test Standards
- ASTM E119 – Fire Resistance
- UL 94 – Flame Spread
Lithium Prevent Features
• A durable polymer composite material | • Tailor made formulation |
• An injection molded polymer composite | • Electrically non-conductive |
• Separation between cells segregates runaway events | • Chemically inertial |
• The design allows for the overheated electrolyte solvent to vent out of the package and manage an explosive event | • Cost effective |
• The pack can be combined with various materials to provide desired mechanical / electrical / thermal properties | • Excellent processability |
• Chemically inert |
