Pyrophobic Systems has the expertise to apply Intuplas technology to develop fire rated tapes, gaskets, styles, and rails for flush mineral core and raised panel doors. We provide Intuplas in a tough, durable, and flexible sheet form that is up to 8 feet wide on a continuous roll that can be up to 100 feet long. Intuplas is a thermoplastic extruded product that is stable, clean to the touch, easily handled, non-hydroscopic, can be cut to size, and sandwiched with a wide range of sound transmission reduction products. Intuplas Sheet material is a superb substitute that is clearly differentiated from existing materials such as Palusol™ and other wet laid applications.
The Intuplas thermoplastic can be extruded into intumescent, fire resistant, High Density Polyethylene that is intricately shaped to serve as a substitute product for interlocking styles and rails. The Intuplas Style and Rail is an excellent substitute for wood strip methods, saving time and labor during the manufacturing process. Intuplas can be textured and tinted to many different colors, in a one piece construction.
Intuplas can be extruded into many other components which are used in a fire rated door to make the entire door more fire resistant. Intuplas manufactured door locks and handle components will enhance the fire safety of the building.
